Meridican has been operating Community Give back programs for clients since 2003. Our combined efforts have provided new health clinics, new schools or classrooms, new playgrounds for school children, clothing for Haitian Sugar Cane workers living on depressed Dominican “Bateyes” etc.
Although our clients have typically given back in a big way (some spending over $100,000 USD per project), you can make a difference with any donation or any project. A lot of us doing a little adds up!!!
The “habitat for humanity” style of project is a daunting task at times, yet when you see the faces of the participants and the benefactors (usually school children), the hard work is a certainly worth it. For a planner it is a Win/Winn, the feeling of accomplishments is tremendous and gives our jobs more meaning, and our clients consistently rate these experiences as the best team building exercise.
In Mexico, we have partnered with IVI on projects in Puerto Vallarta, Cancun and Playa del Carmen, their assistance in selecting reputable and honest local contractors and sourcing the schools or other institutions we support is a huge part of our success.
